But there's one song on the record that doesn't actually feature any of Matty's vocals - it's actually voiced by someone who's robotic tones will sound very familiar to literally anyone who has ever owned an iPhone.

Yep, the song 'The Man Who Married A Robot/Love Theme' is narrated by the British male voice of Siri who tells the story of a lonely man, @SnowflakeSmasher86, who falls in love with the internet. (The actual Twitter account doesn't exist, by the way. Sad!)
Anyway, the lyrics to the song describe how the internet ends up becoming the man's best friend and eventual 'lover'. The story presents quite a deep commentary on how an internet connection can completely change the human experience and how we all relate to one another.
Between the narrative and the fact that The 1975 managed to get *actual* Siri to narrate an entire track on the album, the internet is pretty impressed - and confused as to how a song voiced by a robot managed to make then cry a little bit.

The narration wasn't always supposed to be voiced by Siri though. Originally, the song was meant to voiced by Matty's dad Tim Healy, who has one of the best Geordie accents of all time.
Matty explained to Pitchfork why he ended up scrapping his dad's narration and going for Siri instead: "I was like, “Fuck that, sounds lame.” And then we were like, “Who should it be?” We just knew immediately. Because earlier this year, post-rehab, I was obsessed with the 2020s, like the idea that this next decade is going to be some retro-future kind of idea. I had, like, purple hair and an orange coat and I was like, “Everything’s going to be fucking super future!” I was just on that kick. I was like, “Robots, robots, robots.”
Oh, what could have been if it had been Tim. Still, we hope they bring Siri on tour.
