We caught up with Louis and he clarified what went down in the studio...and (maybe) starts some beef!

Louis Tomlinson has revealed what it was like working with The 1975's Matty Healy and responded to the long-held rumours that 'The Sound' was originally offered to One Direction.

Louis stopped by the studio for this week's edition of the PopBuzz Podcast when we quizzed him on working with Matty on 1D's final pre-hiatus record.

Matty has spoken about the session before in an interview with Q magazine:

I went into the studio with them [One Direction] for a couple of hours to work on some stuff and, funnily enough, I ended up showing them 'The Sound' as a suggestion, but nothing came of it. I was asked to do it, so I thought I’d see how it all works but it just didn’t really work very well. It didn’t resonate so I thought I’d stick to own thing.

Well, tbh, Louis didn't quite seem to remember what track they worked on but, either way, he's ready to start some beef with The 1975 frontman if needs be (don't worry, he's joking).

Check out what Louis had to say about Matty in the video clip above.
