Need a positive vibes playlist? We got you.

Do you ever feel like you just can't deal with life anymore? If so, congratulations! You're a normal human being.

We all feel like shit sometimes and one of the best cures is music. It's food for the soul, don't you know. So we compiled a little list of songs that will scope you up off the floor and transforms you back into your bad ass self.

1) Marina and the Diamonds - "Forget"

It's possible to view Marina's third album FROOT as a manifestation of her true potential, Marina at her most honest and 'real' after the high-gloss production and alter ego adventures on Electra Heart. That backstory helps adds emotional weight to songs like "Forget", in which Marina is adamant that she must accept the past and move on. The anthemic chorus is a real fist-in-the-air moment. This song is a life giver.

Key lyric: "Cause in the end, the road is long / But only 'cause it makes you strong / It's filled with peaks and twists and turns. Sometimes you have to learn to forget about it"

2) Halsey - "New Americana"

You might have seen the #LyricsThatHaveToBeShouted on Twitter recently and Halsey's Generation Y anthem "New Americana" was one of the most popular choices. It's easy to see why. The sloganistic lyrics, the military-style drum beat, the shouty vocal delivery; whether you believe Halsey is the revolutionary pop star she is often made out to be or not, this song has a rousing effect. It's a battle song. And life is a battle AMIRITE?

Key lyrics: "We are the new Americana / High on legal marijuana / Raised on Biggie and Nirvana / We are the new Americana

3) Demi Lovato - "Cool For Summer"

We love a bi-curious banger at PopBuzz (see Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" or Panic's "Girls/Girls/Boys") and Demi's latest addition to the canon is arguably one of the best. It stays of the right side of suggestive without pandering to the male gaze (hello Katy Perry) and avoids clunky innuendo. And the way that chorus hook dives down and lifts up on the "t-aaayyyy-pe" bit is pure fiyah. This is a positivity anthem through and through. It will pick you up and get you in the mood for kissing stranger in no time.

Key lyric: "Take me down into your paradise / Don't be scared 'cause I'm your body type / Just something that we wanna try / 'Cause you and I / We're cool for the summer"

4) Carly Rae Jepsen - "Run Away With Me"

Carly Sley Jepsen: Queen of maybe being called, queen of becoming a meme and queen of giving you life when you've run out. Seriously, the whole PopBuzz team sang this at karaoke last Friday night and I'm still buzzing four days later.

They say you should never run away from your problems, and for the most part that's probably true, but sometimes you need to take a break from them. You can do much worse than run away with Carly for 4 minutes. Trust me.

Key lyric: "Oh baby, take me to the feeling / I'll be your sinner, in secret / When the lights go out / Run away with me"

5) Hailee Steinfeld - "I Love Myself"

I mean, the clue is in the title with this one. Fondly referred to as a 'w*nk banger' at PopBuzz HQ, Hailee's ode to loving yourself (both literally and figuratively) is one of the more direct and obvious choices but that's because it works. Now, say it to yourself out loud: I LOVE MYSELF. I LOVE MYSELF. I LOVE MYSELF.

Feel better already, right?

Key lyric: "I love me / Gonna love myself (no) I don't need anybody else"

6) Beyoncé - "Formation"

'When life gives you lemons, make lemonade', so goes the famous expression and unofficial strapline to Bey's latest album Lemonade. "Formation" is Lemonade's swansong, one final shot of independence, strength and defiance. It's a rallying cry for collective action, sure, but it also works on an individual level. Beyoncé isn't so much picking you up, as she's slapping you round the face and giving you a good kick up the arse. You need it, hun (well, we assume you do if you've clicked on this page).

Key lyric: "Sometimes I go off / I go hard / Get what's mine / I'm a star / Cause I slay / I slay"

7) Black Eyed Peas - "My Humps"

With lyrics like these, who can't laugh, smile and feel some sense of relief that something so stupid actually exists in the world. Thank you, will.i.am.

Key lyrics: "They say I'm really sexy / The boys they wanna sex me / They always standing next me / Always dancing next to me / Tryin' a feel my hump, hump / Always dancing next to me / Tryin' a feel my hump, hump"
