Rihanna's last solo music release was in 2016, with the widely acclaimed ANTI. She's since collaborated with artists such as DJ Khaled and N.E.R.D, but the Navy are eagerly awaiting Rihanna's solo big return to music.

In the time since ANTI, Rihanna has been busy with the release of her make up line 'Fenty by Rihanna', clothing collaboration with long time partners Puma for 'Fenty X Puma', charity 'The Clara Lionel Foundation', acting in the upcoming 'Oceans 8' (release date 2018) and with her soon to launch lingerie line 'Savage X Fenty'.

While there's no indication a Rihanna album will drop anytime soon, some details about the project are slowly emerging.

1. When will Rihanna's new album be released?

On Rihanna's last album, she famously took her time after a period of releasing albums in very quick succession, so it's very likely she will take her time on the next release too.

With her make up line, clothing line, lingerie line, a movie and charity currently being worked on, she has plenty to keep busy with, and to keep fans occupied until her next release. Many fans are predicting an album in late 2018 but no official dates have been announced.

In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna stated that she plans to make a reggae album, but it's unclear if it will be influenced or true to the reggae sound.

In the same interview, Rihanna cites inspirations for the record as Supa Dups (a reggae producer who has worked with Sean Paul, Been Man and Elephant Man) and well as a long time favourite artist of Rihanna: Bob Marley.

8. What will the cover art be for Rihanna's next album?
