Throwing it back to 2007.

Can you believe it's been 10 years since Skins first dropped into our lives? The coming of age comedy drama surrounding a group of teens from the UK first aired on Channel 4 on January 25 2007 and we never expected in a million years that it would become as popular as it did. The series aired for seven seasons and has even inspired similar shows across the globe (Ummm, hello Skam!)

Here's what the original cast of the First Generation are up to these days, we're sure you'll recognise a few familiar faces:

Kaya Scodelario

Who did she play? Effy Stonem

Where are they now? After being cast in Skins at the age of 14 (!!), Kaya starred in a ton of music videos as well as movies including Clash of the Titans and The Maze Runner. She returned for the second instalment and will make another appearance in the third movie as Teresa Agnes. She will also be starring in the fourth instalment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise slated for release in 2017. Slayyyy.

Nicholas Hoult

Who did he play? Tony Stonem

Where are they now? Before Skins, Nicholas was famously in the Hugh Grant comedy About A Boy. After Skins, he has appeared in critically acclaimed movies such as A Single Man, Mad Max: Fury Road and X-Men: First Class. He also dated Jennifer Lawrence for like, four years and now has some interesting facial hair...

Hannah Murray

Who did she play? Cassie Ainsworth

Where are they now? Fun fact: Cassie never left Bristol to go to New York. She left Bristol to move to Westeros. Hannah has been playing the role of Gilly, everyone's favourite wilding girl who ends up with Sam Tarly, in Game Of Thrones since 2012. She'll be moving to the big screen opposite Star Wars lad John Boyega in a Kathryn Bigelow directed movie set for release in August 2017.

Dev Patel

Who did he play? Anwar Kharral

Where are they now? Ok, what HASN'T Dev Patel done since Skins. Arguably the most successful of the ex-cast mates, Dev has has lead roles in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (1 and 2... yes, it was so successful that they had enough money for a sequel) and of course, the 2017 movie Lion for which he has just been nominated FOR AN OSCAR! Yes Dev!

Mitch Hewer

Who did he play? Maxxie Oliver

Where are they now? Since starring as every British teen girl's dream (it literally didn't matter that his character was gay), Mitch starred in a couple of TV shows, including the short-lived stage school musical drama Britannia High. He left to see if there was anything happening in LA before returning to the UK to start a YouTube channel. You can find him here.

April Pearson

Who did she play? Michelle Richardson

Where are they now? April is now a stage actress, starring in London's West End in a play called "Threesome". Before that she starred in a British horror movie with Alex Pettyfer called Tormented. She spends her down time uploading FIRE selfies to Instagram too. Queen.

Mike Bailey

Who did he play? Sid Jenkins

Where are they now? Mike now stars in a web series called "Hers & History", a story about a couple's decision to share their sexual past with complete honesty. Sounds wild.

Larissa Wilson

Who did she play? Jal Fazer

Where are they now? After Skins, she joined her old co-star April Pearson to star in Tormented and made appearances in a fair few british TV shows.

Joe Dempsie

Who did he play? Chris Miles

Where are they now? Well, Chris is dead now (RIP) but Joe Dempsie is alive and well (we think) in Westeros with Hannah Murray's Gilly! Joe plays the REAL legitimate heir to Robert Baratheon's throne Gendry. Remember him? He's been sailing around in a tiny wooden boat for almost 3 seasons. He also once appeared in an episode of Doctor Who.
