Rock-Dad: it's our new favourite aesthetic. Unlike Dad-Rock, which is rock music that your dad has been listening to on loop for the past thirty years, Rock-Dad represents all the dudes in bands that you were in love with as a teen; dudes who have since grown into dads, without relinquishing their rocking ways.
Blink-182 frontman and textbook Rock-Dad Mark Hoppus has recently been hanging out with indie superstars Mumford & Sons (who are also pretty Rock-Dad); after joining them onstage last week for a bizarre cover of Eurythmics' 80's classic "Sweet Dreams", the unlikely collaborators returned to play together at a private KROQ show. Their song of choice? Blink classic "What's My Age Again". Oh, also they were joined by Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello. WE HAVE ALREADY REACHED PEAK ROCK-DAD.
