Charli XCX Announces New Label For 'Sharp, Potent, Deadly' Artists

And there is new Charli XCX music too!
Good news, Charli XCX fans!
Today, via FADER, Charli announced she is starting up her own label, Vroom Vroom Recordings. The first release will be an EP, appropriately titled Vroom Vroom, which will include 3 new tracks as well as the title track, a collaboration with music producer SOPHIE, which dropped late last year.
As a teaser, Charli has also shared two tracks by RIVRS and CuckooLander, who will be releasing material on the label later in the year. You can listen to the three songs below.
Charli had some interesting things to say about the project and her collaboration with SOPHIE.
"It will combine my love for bubblegum pop with mystery and darkness. The artists coming up through it will be sharp, potent, deadly, and ultimately, will leave their mark on pop music...I've worked with SOPHIE on the new EP and what we create together speaks for itself. Sometimes we get aggressive, sometimes we get beautiful; he pushes me and I push him. I'm making beautiful party songs right now and this is just the start. The album goes to other places and I can't wait for people to hear it. I feel the most creative I have in a long time and I couldn't be more excited for the next chapter."
WE ARE EXCITED TOO, CHARLI! But...when gonna get that album? Don't get it twisted, we'll take the EP, but we are DYING for that album. Don't do a Frank Ocean on us bbz!
