Nicki Minaj and Cardi B reigniting their ongoing feud has inspired some incredible memes but why are they fighting and when did their feud start?

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B's rap feud added another chapter to its never ending saga as the two women squared off online over their New York Fashion week scuffle.

The women famously got into it back in September, inspiring headlines, memes, and even merch. Old wounds were re-opened last night (Oct. 29) when Nicki Minaj went on her Queen Radio show to discuss the finer points of their NYFW run in, as well as a few other grievances.

Both Nicki and Cardi had a lot to say about their ongoing issues, and their back and forth is already inspiring some pretty great memes.

Even though it's been going on for 84 years, people still couldn't stop themselves from following the Cardi Nicki drama.

Is this all so confusing? Yes. Are we still deeply invested. YES.

The coldest cold war since the actual cold war.

Incidentally, Cardi B also dragged Little Mix into the entire saga adding an extra layer of tea to the... mix.

Cardi B claimed over the course of the busy evening that Little Mix's "Woman Like Me" ft. Nicki Minaj had also been sent to her and that she'd declined to appear on the song.

Little Mix have since clarified that they "love and respect both Nicki and Cardi B" and and that their label DID approach both artists to appear on 'Woman Like Me'. They also said that they have wanted to work with Nicki "since the beginning."

But, uh, stream 'Woman Like Me', guys.

Nicki's offer of 100k to anyone who could find the fashion week footage definitely had people wishing they'd gone to hacker school.

So, what are Nicki and Cardi B actually feuding about?

While it's unclear when the two might have fallen out privately, the public disagreements are a result of steadily building tension and perceived shade.

In the year+ long escalation, Nicki has accused Cardi of not showing her genuine love, not writing her own raps, telling other artists not to work with her, and payola (paying for radio play).

In turn, Cardi has accused Nicki of liking negative comments about her parenting skills, leaking her phone number (which Nicki denies), and sneak dissing her on records.

In September 2018, the two had a run-in at fashion week, which resulted in a now-famous photo of Cardi exiting a party with a large knot on her head. Fast forward to October 29, and Nicki revisited that night on her Queen Radio programme, alleging that her friend Rah Ali beat up Cardi on the evening in question.

Cardi responded in a series of Instagram videos claiming that she was never beat up and never told anyone to stop Nicki's bag.

Cardi also went on to make claims about various fashion and endorsement deals, songs they'd both been considered for, and other collabs, including the Bad Bunny, Travis Scott "Krippy Kush" remix.

For now, the two women have called a truce with Nicki tweeting "let's focus on positive things from here on out". Cardi took to Instagram and shared Nicki's message with the caption "alright then! Let's keep it positive and keep it pushing."
