5SOS, YUNGBLUD and Lauv have all recorded new songs for 13 Reasons Why.

5 Seconds of Summer have recorded a brand new single for the 13 Reasons Why season 3 soundtrack.

13 Reasons Why is back. Yesterday (Aug 1), Netflix announced that the controversial, teen drama will return with its third and penultimate season later this month (Aug 23). 13 Reasons Why will end with season 4. Not only that but Netflix also released the first 13 Reasons Why season 3 trailer and... Bryce is dead. Season 3 will focus on the mystery of who killed him. It also marks the first season without Katherine Langford playing the original, starring role of Hannah Baker.

It wouldn't be a 13 Reasons Why season without a star-studded soundtrack though and season 3 includes songs from stars including 5SOS, YUNGBLUD, Lauv and many more huge artists. 5SOS have already teased their song and it sounds iconic.

Who is in the 13 Reasons Why season 3 soundtrack?

The 13 Reasons Why season 3 track will feature 18 tracks including new songs recorded especially for the series by the likes of 5SOS, YUNGBLUD, Lauv, Anne-Marie and Charli XCX. 5SOS will lead the new, compilation album and their track will also serve as the second single from their highly anticipated third album. It's currently unclear what the title of the song will be but the boys have already begun teasing it on social media.

This week (Jul 29), Ashton tweeted: "We just finished and mastered the mix for our second single." Luke then replied to him: "Yall ain’t ready". If that weren't enough to get you excited about the new single, Luke previously tweeted: "Stoked for this new music. These songs come from a real place, navigating the ups and downs of my current relationship and also becoming the man I knew I could be."

He also wrote: "I’ve never been more excited about the band and after almost 8 years I’m so thankful for all of you".

If it's anywhere near as good as 'Easier', we're going to love it. And, while we can't listen to the 5SOS single just yet (it drops August 23 alongside the series and the rest of the soundtrack), two of the songs from 13 Reasons Why season 3 came out today (Aug 2).

Lauv and Anne-Marie have released a duet called 'fuck, i'm lonely' and Alexander 23 has released a song called 'Another Summer Night Without You'.

Other artists involved in the soundtrack, alongside 5SOS, YUNGBLUD, Lauv, Anne-Marie, Charli XCX and Alexander 23, are The Decemberists, Cautious Clay, Daydream Masi, Daya, JR JR, Drama Relax, K.Flay, Twin Shadow, HEALTH, Angelo De Augustine, Hembree, Frightened Rabbit and Eskmo.

This will be the first 13 Reasons Why soundtrack without a song by executive producer Selena Gomez. For the first season she recorded a cover of Yazoo's 'Only You' and for season 2 she recorded the original song 'Back to You'.
