Fans Believe 5SOS Were Sexually Harassed During This Inappropriate Interview

This is so unprofessional.
5 Seconds Of Summer are working hard at promoting their upcoming album. They'll be doing many interviews over the coming months, but we can only hope that the rest of their promo tour is nothing like this recent interview with r101, a radio station in Italy.
5SOS fans were appalled, following an interview of the boys essentially being harassed live on air.
For those of you wondering about the inapporpriate 5SOS interview situation floating Twitter, basically the interviewer asked 5SOS to strip down with her and it was totally uncalled for.

I am appalled she would even consider doing that -Mpic.twitter.com/DeiMNmmgoh
The interview starts to go off the rails when the journalist begins getting touchy with the group, sitting in their laps and asking for help undoing her top. Of course, the full car crash moment arrives when she is able to remove her shirt completely. She then starts urging the boys to remove their jackets and shirts, as well.
If this seems super unprofessional to you, that's because it is.
Needless to say 5SOS fans were not impressed with this host's behaviour.
5sos were sexually harassed by that interviewer and not enough ppl are talking about it!!! they were so uncomfortable, michael even said he has a gf but that woman kept asking him to open her shirt then asked them to take off their clothes wtf man

5sos went to that interview to be interviewed, not sexually harassed. They were there because they were successful in doing something that they love, they were NOT there to be treated as objects and told to take off clothing. That interviewer went too far. #Respect5SOS :-)đź’•

i feel so bad for 5sos, they deserve to have lovely interviews and chats about their work, their art, their passion, their new own incredible path and then they end up in situations like this weird italian interview and i just feel so bad for them, i’m sad.

I can’t even process the fact that an interviewer was allowed to do this to four men who were complete strangers to her. I can’t even fathom how she still has her job. If it were a man he would be fired on the spot. #RESPECT5SOS

One troubling part of the video is just how visibly uncomfortable the band looks. They came to promote their music and now they're being asked to unbutton a host's top. Even if you're not a huge 5SOS fan, it's a difficult interview to watch.
The video feels like the station was planning a stunt that would go "viral", but it's clear they missed the mark.
This is harassment, plain and simple. Our culture is only just starting to think carefully about how women are treated in the entertainment industry, but we have to remember that women can also be perpetrators of inappropriate behavior. If this were a man doing this to Fifth Harmony or Little Mix, people would be outraged, and rightly so.
Everyone has a right to show up for work and be treated with respect and kindness. Just because these were men, doesn't mean the situation wasn't disastrous and unprofessional.
