In episode 10 of Netflix's 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina', Sabrina finally becomes a full witch but audiences still have questions about the ending. Did Sabrina sign the Book of the Beast? Does Sabrina become a full witch? Will she ever go back to Baxter High? And who is Madam Satan?

It's safe to say that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is one of the best new shows we've seen in a VERY long time. The dark reimagining of the Archie Comics series has excelled in literally every area possible and fans already cannot get enough of the storyline, the sneaky Riverdale crossover and the incredible characters (Ambrose Spellman, lemme talk to you...)

But it's the ending of season one that's got people wondering what's going to happen in season two. Does Sabrina sign the book? Why does Sabrina sign the book? And what does signing the book mean for her now? Here's the ending explained:

Salem the cat from 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' was almost made a dog

At the beginning of the show, Sabrina (half-human, half-witch) is asked to make a decision whether she wants to gain all the powers of a witch and renounce her connections with the mortal world by signing the 'Book of the Beast', or remain in the mortal world with her freedom and keep her friends, but forget about her witch heritage. At first, she refused and remains somewhere between witch and human.

But at the end of the season, we see Sabrina make a final decision once and for all and the real reason behind it is much much MUCH more sinister that we all previously thought.

So, does Sabrina sign the book?

Yep. She does - and it's all thanks to scheming ways of Mary Wardwell aka Madam Satan.

Throughout the entire season, we see that Sabrina has been 'mentored' by Ms Wardwell, her favourite teacher from Baxter High. We later find out that Wardwell, now Madam Satan, has been possessed by a demonic spirit called 'Lilith' whose soul purpose is to groom Sabrina and bring her closer and closer to the Dark Lord.

Once Sabrina finds out she has powers, Madam Satan lies and says that she was an old friend of her father's who was tasked in watching over Sabrina. She is able to gain Sabrina's trust and influence her into doing some terrible stuff (like bringing a human back from the dead by sacrificing a witch - bad idea, sis!)

In the final episode, we see Madam Satan recount her plan to Principal Hawthorne before she PEELS OFF HER FACE and reveals her true identity - the terrifying green entity called 'Lilith' that I might now have nightmares over. Lilith is one of Satan's most loyal and highest ranking servants who was tasked with getting Sabrina to sign herself over to the Dark Lord once and for all so that Sabrina can take her place as "Satan's foot soldier" and she can ascended as the Queen of Hell.

How does Madam Satan persuade Sabrina to sign her life away? When the Red Angel of Death and the Greendale Thirteen descend upon the town, she tells the young witch that the only way to save her friends and their families from death is to sign the book and gain the hellfire power needed to destroy them. And she does it... she signs the damn book.

Of course, now that Sabrina has signed herself over to the Dark Lord, she is now a full witch. The Dark Lord can summon her at any time and she must now renounce all her mortal connections otherwise they will find themselves in danger.

At the end of the episode, we see Harvey, Rosalind and Susie sitting at Baxter High waiting for her to return to school, but she never shows up. It's then we realise that Sabrina has ditched her mortal life and has become a full time student at the Academy of the Unseen Arts instead. Her hair has turned white, she's thrown on a lashing of that iconic black lipstick and has become one of the Weird Sisters.

We already know that the show has been renewed for a second season, but what lies ahead for the new witch Sabrina? Will she become Satan's puppet or will she find herself fighting to get back to mortals she holds so close to heart? Something tells us it's the latter... Sabrina ain't nobody's bitch!
