'Riverdale' and 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' would have been so different...

It's no secret that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is already a huge success. Ever since the series first debuted on Netflix last Friday, people have not been able to stop talking about it. Fans are praising the show for everything, from its dark tone to its amazing script. That's not all though, leading all of the witchy drama, is a brilliant cast who viewers around the world are all falling in love with. We stan.

Early standouts include leads Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina Spellman) and Ross Lynch (Harvey Kinkle). However, supporting cast member Chance Perdomo (Ambrose Spellman) is also quickly gaining his own legion of fans. People are obsessed with his witty character and are already thirsting after him. However, what fans may not know is that Chance was actually in the running to play Jughead in Riverdale.

No. We're not joking. Before landing the part of Ambrose in CAOS, Chance auditioned to take on the role of Riverdale's own Serpent king: Jughead Jones. And, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Riverdale's showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was so taken by Chance's "audition tape for Riverdale that he wrote the role of Ambrose with Perdomo in mind". Ok. Our minds are blown.

Considering how talented Chance is, we have no doubt that he would have been excellent as Jughead. That being said, it's hard to think of anyone other than Cole Sprouse in the role now. Cole plays the part so well and we can't imagine Riverdale without him. Not to mention, we couldn't be happier that Chance ended up playing Ambrose. He is the perfect sidekick to Sabrina.

Still we would love to see Chance's Riverdale audition tape. Riverdale would have been so different with him. Would FP still have been played by Skeet Ulrich (the ultimate hot Dad of Riverdale) or someone different? Would Jughead have become the character he is now or would he have morphed into someone-else? Perhaps, most importantly, would Falice still be a thing?!

I guess we'll never know but we'll be spending the rest of eternity casting our Chance as Jughead fan-fiction families.

What do you think? Did Riverdale get the casting right or would you have liked to see Chance as Jughead?
