To all the movies we watched at least 12 times in one weekend.

2018 was the year of the teen Netflix rom com. The Kissing Booth won over fans with its simple yet romantic premise. To All The Boys I've Loved Before was also a crowd pleaser, ushering in a solid 90 days of Noah Centineo internet boyfriendhood. Netflix has released its list of original movies and shows viewers loved and re-watched this past year and both films had a great showing.

It's no surprise that To All The Boys and The Kissing Booth held the top spots. It's The Kissing Booth's domination as the number one most re-watched original film that has people divided.

Beyond personal opinions, logically, it does make sense that The Kissing Booth was re-watched more times than To All The Boys I've Loved Before. The Kissing Booth came out a full three months before To All The Boys I've Loved Before and has been available to view on the streaming platform for the majority of 2018.

People have been comparing the films since To All The Boys dropped in August. Even though the films are quite different in storytelling styles and in the performances of its leads, the two films do occupy a similar YA niche.

There were other rom coms that premiered on Netflix in 2018. Set It Up and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser were highly buzzed about on social media but, clearly, To All The Boys and The Kissing Booth impressed viewers in a different way.

Aside from their appeal to teen audiences, To All The Boys and The Kissing Booth both made stars of its leads. Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Jacob Elordi and Joey King all have multiple productions in the pipeline proving that Netflix is a solid vehicle for rising stars.

What do you guys think? Was The Kissing Booth your favourite this year or was it To All The Boys I've Loved Before?
