The internet's new boyfriend answered a question about whether or not he would go out with an admirer.

He who possesses the title of "the internet's boyfriend" must also be ready for what comes along with it. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, and all that.

The internet's current boyfriend Noah Centineo probably wakes up to people DM'ing him marriage proposals every day. While fans are positively enamored with the star after his role as Peter Kavinsky in To All The Boys I've Loved Before, the actual odds Noah would date a fan are not high, apparently.

Netflix

In an interview with E!'s Daily Pop, Noah was asked if he would ever date a fan and, while he didn't completely rule it out, he did give a a pretty insightful reason as to why he probably wouldn't.

"I don't close any doors totally, but probably not, because then it's like more of a infatuation with like, a position more than like, the person," Noah revealed. "It can overshadow that, which is difficult, I would think."

That's fair enough!

Noah might not be in the market for a fan to date IRL, but he is carving out a nice "on screen boyfriend" niche for himself. His role as Peter Kavinsky achieved summer 2018 gold-tier level, in terms of fictional boys we'd collectively like to date. Jamey in Sierra Burgess Is A Loser certainly feels like someone we're all about to be obsessed with. And, of course, his upcoming movie The Stand-In sees him take on the role of Brooks, a professional stand-in boyfriend.

So, take heart Noah fans. He might not be up for an IRL relationship with a fan but we'll always have... Peter and Jamey and Brooks and Netflix's "play from the beginning" option.
